And here we begin....

SO although this isn't the official beginning of Max's life it seems like a good place to pick up. Max is 22 days old today but has only known a life of beeps, alarms, bright lights and the din of the NCIU.
Today he had his "Big" surgery for his inability to keep food down or pass it though efficiently, which turned out to be a condition called duodenal stenosis (a narrowing or incomplete formation of the duodenum, a direct result being malnutrition and failure to thrive). Basically everything Max drank he either (projectile) vomited up or would sit in his stomach for hours, dripping though a pinhole size opening. Not pleasant.
It took 21 days to diagnose, but the wonderful Dr. Soroush picked it up yesterday in a endoscopy and Dr. Saad scheduled an immediate surgery to correct the problem. I'm eternally grateful to them for their attentiveness and swift action.
